This is a draft for review. It describes the ShySpice website only. The reading app is not available, and this is not a finished policy.
What this preview does
The home page asks for an email address and a confirmation that you are 18 or over. On this preview the request is checked, then discarded. It is not written to a database. No email is sent.
What we plan to collect later
When the list is real, the site is being built to collect an email address, the age confirmation, a referral code if you arrive with one, and cookieless visit counts. There is no date-of-birth field, because we do not want that data. The site is not directed at children and is not for anyone under 18.
Why
To keep a list of people who asked to be told when ShySpice opens, and to know whether anyone came. Joining the list will be a choice. Visit counts, if turned on later, would be cookieless and would not include your email.
Who would handle it
The planned processors are Neon for storage, Resend for the confirmation note, and Vercel for hosting and cookieless visit counts. None of them are connected to this preview. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising across other sites.
How long, and how to object
Once storage exists, the plan is to keep an address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, plus 30 days in backups. This preview keeps nothing, so there is nothing to delete from it. A deletion page and an unsubscribe link are part of the full site, not this preview.
The legal entity and the postal address are not named in this draft. The basis we expect to rely on, once counsel has read this, is consent for the email and legitimate interest for cookieless visit counts. That sentence is a draft, not a final statement of the law.
Questions go to the support page. There is no working inbox on this preview.
What this site does not do
Fonts are files we host (Fraunces and Source Sans 3, both OFL). The pages do not ask Google, or anyone else, for a font. There is no session replay, no keystroke recording, and no analytics script. A visit is not filmed.
Mail, when it exists
This preview sends no email. The only commercial-mail builder in the codebase refuses to make a message unless it contains an https unsubscribe link and a real postal address. That address is not in this draft, so the builder cannot send anything yet. When a note does go out, the unsubscribe link and the postal address will be in the message itself, not only on this page.
